HOME INFORMATION PACKS
(HIPS)
From the first of August 2007 a Home Information Pack will be required when marketing a property, the government is introducing (HIPS) as part of the wider reforms to cut carbon emissions from homes, optional documents in the (HIPS) including the home condition report (HCR), which the government strongly encourages sellers to include. A thermal survey can be included in the (HCR) to show the effectiveness of a properties insulation, obviously being able to show how well your home is insulated is going to attract more interest and a higher price!
